For more advanced swimmers, Noonan Family Swim School offers intramural swim teams and stroke clinics. These advanced swimming options are designed for:
” Swimmers who have graduated the Learn-to-Swim Program.
” Those looking for a stepping stone prior to joining a competitive swim team.
” Competitive swimmers looking for more stroke refinement.
” Advanced swimmers who are looking for the health benefits of swimming, without the pressure of a competitive swim team.
Intramural Swim Team
Our Intramural Swim Team is known as the Noonan Killer Whales! This program is offered at four of our locations: Carlsbad, 4S Ranch/Rancho Bernardo, Linda Vista and Murrieta. Practice times vary by location. The Noonan Killer Whales provides swimmers with the opportunity to experience a swim team, without the pressure of a traditional competitive swim team. Swimmers work on building endurance and refining the competitive strokes. Throughout the year there are several optional intra-team swim meets. These are a fun and exciting way for the swimmers to show off their progress!
Stroke Clinics
Stroke Clinics are designed as a way for current swimmers to further refine their swimming techniques. The clinics are offered as sessions throughout the year at four of our locations: Carlsbad, 4S Ranch/Rancho Bernardo, Linda Vista and Murrieta. During the stroke clinic, coaches place an emphasis on stroke mechanics and teaching a swimmer how to move through the water in a more efficient manner. These clinics are great for competitive swimmers looking to further refine their swimming techniques or advanced swimmers who are looking to become more proficient in the water.
