OUR HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION

This document is a summary of the safety standards and programming procedures that Noonan Family Swim School will implement when we officially reopen for swim lessons. These will focus around social distancing, disinfecting and other preventative measures. It is subject to change based on updated information and recommendations from local, state, and federal authorities.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE GEAR
  • Face coverings are required for adults and recommended for children 12 and under.
    • Swimmers should NOT wear face coverings in the pool.
    • Parents are required to wear a face covering in the water when in our Parent and Me classes.
    • Face coverings are available for purchase at each Noonan facility.
  • Face shields and/or facemasks will be worn by swim instructors while in the pool.
  • Please follow postings for entrance and exits, as well as social distancing during lessons for the safety of other families and staff.
  • Temperature checks will be taken for all employees and clients entering the pool area. We are also relying on families to stay home if they are sick or have any symptoms.

Pricing and Billing
  • Please call or email your nearest facility for price updates and class types.
  • Billing and payment methods can be updated on the Customer Portal via our website.
    • We will be glad to help you on location the first lesson back.
  • Can we pay to hold our spot? Absolutely.  Many families love their spot and their teacher and do not want to lose it.  We just ask that you report absences so we can provide a make up lesson for another family. As your lives and activities have changed, so have the lives of our staff. We cannot promise that a staff member will return, and if they do return, they may require a different schedule.

Ratios and Occupancy
We are limiting the maximum number of swimmers in each class to reduce the volume in the pool.

  • Splash Baby classes                 4 students
  • Blue through Yellow levels     2 students
  • Green and Gold Levels            2-3 students
  • Swim Team Practice                reduced by about 30%

How many classes in the pool at one time?

  • This will depend on the size of the pool to ensure 6 feet distancing between classes.

Level, Day and Time
  • How do we get the kids in the right level?
    • We recommend all swimmers return in the level they left.
    • As always, we assess swimmers each day and make sure they are in a place where they can succeed.
  • The NEW Customer Portal displays a lot of information including class details, billing details and swimmer updates.
  • We are working diligently to adjust the schedule.
    • We are keeping things where they are for most of the class schedule.
    • We will be in touch if we need to move things around.
    • It is a big puzzle that we gladly take on!  Thanks for being patient.

What about the lessons from March?
  • We will be providing make up lessons with no expiration date for those March lessons that you paid for and your swimmer missed due to the closure.
  • For those who decided to take a break, those makeups will be available when you re-enroll.
  • If you wish to discuss other options, please contact us.

Make-ups
  • For classes that were missed since re-opening, you can book your makeups online.
  • If it is a makeup that you need from your March lessons being cancelled, please call your facility to book the makeup.

What if we drop? (Have already withdrawn or want to withdraw)
  • We will miss you.  Hope to see you soon.
    • Your spot will be open for others to take.
  • When you are ready to return, please go to our website to search for the right spot for your swimmers and enroll.
  • Makeups that you accrued previously will be available when you return.

Changing Area, Showers, Lobby and Viewing Area
  • We are counting on families to respect social distancing while in the lobby, on the pool deck and awaiting your swimmer’s lesson outside the pool area.
  • We highly encourage families to come and leave in swim gear as much as possible to reduce the number of people in the pool area, lobby and bathrooms before and after your lessons.
    • Changing areas will be closed to decrease exposure.
    • Showers will be open. Please use them only if necessary.
    • Please dry off and exit the building following your lesson.
  • Bring the minimal number of personal items into the swim school.
  • The number of chairs on the pool deck have been reduced to allow social distancing.
  • Play structures are closed.
  • Parents must remain in the building while they have a child in swim lessons.

New Enrollments, Moving to a different day and time
  • We are waiting to take new enrollments and moves until we reopen.
    • Once we open, we will notify parents and they can go to the Customer Portal to find a spot.
  • If families were dropped from their lesson, they can re-enroll through the Customer Portal after we open.

Who can come to swim lessons?
  • My other child who is not swimming, and I have no other option but to bring them.
    • If your family has no other choice, bring the sibling, and keep them close to you please.
  • My 2 kids swim one after the other.  What to do with them when they are not swimming?
    • Keep them close to you and respect social distancing.
  • If a baby swims with one parent, can the other parent attend?
    • We prefer that only one parent comes per child.
    • We understand there may be situations where two adults are needed.

Cleaning Procedures
  • Increased frequency of disinfecting all highly used surfaces such as countertops and door handles
  • Supply Do-It-Yourself cleaning materials for employees to use at workstations.
  • Install additional hand sanitizing solution stations and entrances and exits.

Other Procedures for a Safer Environment
  • Personal Protective Equipment will be worn by Noonan Family Swim School Swim instructors and dry staff on deck and in our offices.
  • Adjust teaching techniques to practice proper distancing while maintaining safety.
  • Closed play equipment, lobby seating and movie areas.
  • Signs posted about proper hand-washing techniques
